Fundraising Tips For The Holidays

Published

As you gather with friends and family over the holidays and through the new year, let them know about The Longest Day and look for little ways to incorporate fundraising into your holiday traditions.

Tips for holiday fundraising:
  1. Host a craft night and charge admission. Make holiday cards, blankets or decorations to deliver to a local care facility.

  2. Devote a night of the Festival of Lights to the joy of giving. Invite family members to donate, and offer a gift to someone affected by Alzheimer's.

  3. Go caroling and offer songs, hot chocolate or holiday treats in exchange for a donation.

  4. Hold a holiday bake sale and donate the proceeds to your fundraiser.

  5. Host a New Year's Eve party, game night, or dance marathon and charge admission.

  6. Post on Facebook and ask your friends to consider a year-end or winter solstice donation to your fundraiser.

  7. Ask for donations in lieu of gifts, or give donations in lieu of gifts using this printable holiday card
