Rally & Raise Into Spring And Enjoy A Picnic Blanket

We challenge you to roll into spring by raising $200 between March 11 and April 1st. Those that complete this fundraising challenge will receive their very own limited edition The Longest Day roll-up picnic blanket - spring’s hottest accessory!
The quickest way to do this is to start up a Facebook Fundraiser or lean into your talents and make a good or offer a service. Find 10 supporters at $20 each and before you know it, you’ve already earned your picnic blanket.

Count the Pot of Gold on St. Patrick’s Day
Fill a fish bowl or vase up with chocolate gold coins \and invite supporters to guess how many are included for $3 a guess. The winner can receive all the chocolate and the vote money goes to The Longest Day. Not a chocolate fan? Lucky Charms marshmallows would be fun too!
Earth Day Clean-up
Earth Day falls on April 22 which is perfect timing to organize a The Longest Day Earth Day fundraiser with your neighborhood. Organize a clean-up day and get each volunteer a roll of garbage bags, a pair of gloves and a shovel or garbage pick. Spread out and walk your local parks, riverbanks, schools, vacant lots and streets to pick up trash and recyclables. Ask each participant to collect pledges from family members, friends, local businesses and neighbors in your community. Pledges can be a flat rate, per bag, per pound, or for each mile cleaned. Create a competition to see who can collect the most trash in one day!
Easter Egg Hunt
Create a fun-filled morning of treats and egg hunting in your backyard or in a public space. Ask families to pay an entry fee and for an added twist, put different donation amounts in the eggs that the kids are finding. At the end, parents get to write a check for the total.
Flower Arranging Class
Flowers have the ability to instantly brighten a day. Partner with a local floral shop to offer a flower arranging class. Arrange for students to pick up their supplies the morning of and join a virtual class to learn the basics of floral design from the comfort of their own home.
Mowing for a Cause
As soon as spring arrives, the season to cleanup begins. After the snow melts, it can uncover an unruly mess. Advertise a lawn maintenance and clean-up service in exchange for donations. Enlist landscapers and friends with a green thumb to volunteer their services. Offer an upgraded menu that includes planting trees, bushes and flowers.
Plant Sale
Work with a local plant shop to get a discount on seeds, plants or bulbs. Set your prices and put together a mini catalog and ask your circle if interested in purchasing a plant for themselves or a loved one. Set up a delivery fee to enhance your fundraising efforts!
Yard Sale
Encourage your friends and neighbors to jump on the spring cleaning train. Ask them to bring any unwanted goods and organize a group yard sale or garage sale in support of your The Longest Day Campaign. Take it to the next level by offering a car wash and/or bake sale at the same time!
